Objectives of the Association:
- The preservation and care of wild koalas.
- The preservation and expansion of habitat of wild koalas.
- The collection of information for research relating to habitat, disease, nutrition and habits of wild koalas and the recording of same.
- To rescue and treat sick and injured koalas and to record details and case histories and release back to home range if possible.
- To provide educational material, to increase public awareness of all aspects of the koala.
- Protection of the wild koala population through liaison with local councils, NSW Government departments and private property owners.

Junior members working at the Koala Hospital are required to have private or school insurance.


Robyn’s career included 32 years as finance officer with the TAB. Robyn and husband John had a “sea change” and moved to Lake Cathie in 2001.
Robyn joined the Koala Hospital in 2002 as she was looking for something to do with animals. Robyn had seen all the media coverage over the 2002 bushfires that affected so many koalas, and wanted to help.
In 2004 Robyn became a team leader and joined the supervisory team.
